The Children with Autism (CWA) program provides specialized behavioral therapies to children with Autism who are under six years of age.  To qualify for this program a child must:

  • Be under six years of age.
  • Have a diagnosis of Autism.
  • Be at risk of institutionalization.
  • Meet functional eligibility criteria set by the State of Colorado.

A child can be on the waiting list for the CWA Waiver while receiving other Medicaid programs. The state's Children's Waiver Chart gives additional details.
